About Us

Crane Health Services is a private health care provider organization. The organization began its operations in January 1997 as a single outpatient clinic with a support laboratory in Kyengera trading center 6km on Masaka road. Later in the year (August 1997) it expanded its operations by opening up a second out patient clinic in the heart of the city on Plot 8 Johnstone Street where more sophisticated services are being offered.

In 1998, we incorporated both clinics into a Company in the names of “Crane Medical and Laboratory Services”. Because of the new responsibilities we were taking over, it became necessary to change the company name to “Crane Health Services”. Now both Clinics operate 24 hrs, 7 days a week and offer admissions with a wide range of services with a standby Ambulance.

The organization is committed to the health improvement of the people through a preventive approach since prevention is better than cure. At the beginning of 1999, the organization wrote and submitted a proposal to the medical department of Mpigi District aimed at improving food safety through screening of food handlers in the entire district. The same year the company started school health services.

To attain the global goal of “Health for All”. Crane Health Services realizes the health needs of our people and appreciates government’s effort to provide basic health to all its citizens. However, this task is too gigantic for a single player like government to accomplish. We therefore come in to give a hand and desire to develop working relationships with the public and other agencies and communities so as to address more adequately and effectively health promotion, disease prevention, disease treatment and control. This we shall achieve through;

• Procurement and use of excellent quality equipment like machines, reagents and medicines.
• Documentation and use of standard procedures in all activities.
• Establishing good public relations to constantly keep in touch with clients and maximize their opportunity to complain or show appreciation for the services offered.
• Proper scheduling of work to avoid over loading and crisis management.
